What it means
The road you are driving on narrows by a full lane ahead.
What you must do
Change in good time to the lane that carries on. Which lane that is depends on which version of the sign is displayed.

On a road with two lanes going in your direction.

Lane ends: move early into the lane that carries on.
This sign comes in two versions. One warns that the road narrows from the right-hand side. The other warns that it narrows from the left. Look at the sign in front of you to see which side it is.
