Mandatory direction arrows

Mandatory direction arrows: what it means

Sign RM8

What it means

These arrows show that you may only proceed (go) in the direction indicated by the arrow in your lane.

What you must do

Choose the correct lane in time to travel in the direction you want to go.

Where you see it

On any road before an intersection.

Remember

The arrow in your lane is the only way you may go.

Make sure that other traffic is obeying the arrows in their lanes.

Check your blind spot before you turn right. A vehicle in the lane next to you may have a right-turn arrow in its lane. Make sure that it is not carrying straight on.
