This sign prohibits motorcycles on part of a carriageway, for safety reasons.

What you must do

If you are riding a motorcycle, do not enter this part of the carriageway. If the sign is displayed on a freeway, leave the freeway at the first exit.

Where you see it

On any public road, and at the beginning of pedestrian lanes and separate cycle lanes.

Remember

On a freeway, this sign sends motorcycles off at the first exit.
