What it means

There is a demarcated (marked) pedestrian crossing ahead.

What you must do

Slow down and stop for a pedestrian who is crossing. Watch for a pedestrian who is waiting at the crossing. Do not overtake other vehicles that have stopped at the pedestrian crossing.

Where you see it

On any road, especially in rural areas.

Remember

Never overtake a vehicle that has stopped at a pedestrian crossing.
