What it means

Another road joins your road from the left ahead. Traffic may be approaching you from that side.

What you must do

Slow down so that you can stop, go around the corner or pass the intersection at a safe speed. Look out for other traffic at the intersection that might not yield (give way).

Where you see it

On any road, before the place where another road joins your road from the left.

Remember

A side road joins from the left. A vehicle may come out of it.

There is also a version for a road that joins from the right. What you must do is the same.
