Staggered junctions: what it means

What it means
Two roads join your road within a short distance of each other. One joins from one side and the other joins from the other side.
What you must do
Slow down and be prepared to stop or turn at a safe speed. Look out for traffic at the intersection that might not yield (give way).
Where you see it
On any road, before the place where two roads join your road within a short distance.
Remember
Two side roads close together, one on each side.
This sign comes in two versions. On one, your road is joined first from the right and then from the left. On the other, it is joined first from the left and then from the right. Look at the sign in front of you to see which side comes first.
