Traffic circle: what it means
Sign W201, TW201
What it means
A traffic circle is ahead where you may need to yield (give way) to other traffic.
What you must do
Slow down so that you can stop or drive around the circle at a safe speed. Look out for road traffic signs and markings that tell you whether you have the right of way or have to yield.
Where you see it
On any public road.
Remember
Nothing to show who goes first? Give way to traffic from the right.
- Vehicles within a traffic circle have right of way.
- If nothing shows who has right of way, give way to traffic approaching from the right.
- If sign R2.2 is displayed at the traffic circle, you must yield to any driver who crosses his yield line before you cross yours.
- Even if you have right of way, still look out for traffic in the circle that may not yield to you.
