Lane-use control by regulation: what it means

What it means
A diagram shows that the right-hand lane of a two-lane carriageway, or part of a carriageway, falls under a command or prohibition regulatory sign. What that regulatory sign requires is compulsory there. Opposing traffic flow is shown by a dotted arrow.
What you must do
Make sure in time that there is a big enough gap in the traffic to merge with the traffic. Also yield (give way) to other traffic which might merge.
