Lanes merge: what it means

What it means

A diagram shows that a lane merges with another lane, or that roadways join.

What you must do

Make sure in time that there is a big enough gap in the traffic to merge with the traffic. Also yield (give way) to other traffic which might merge.

Remember

Lanes merge: find a gap, and yield to traffic which might merge.
