No crossing lines: what it means

Sign RM2

What it means

These lines tell you that you may not cross them.

What you must do

Under no circumstances drive on the right-hand side of these lines or cross them with any part of your vehicle. The only exception is to drive around a stationary (standing still) vehicle or stationary obstruction in the road.

Where you see it

On any road with two-way traffic.

Remember

One exception only: a stationary vehicle or obstruction in the road.

The no overtaking line has three exceptions. No crossing lines have only this one.
