Parking bay: what it means

What it means

A parking bay marking shows where you may park.

What you must do

Make sure your vehicle is parked completely inside the lines that mark the parking bay.

Where you see it

On any road, especially in urban areas (towns and cities).

Remember

The whole vehicle must be inside the lines.

In angle parking, park as far as possible from the road. The front of your vehicle must not be further than 150mm from the kerb. No part of the vehicle may be on or over the sidewalk (pavement).
