What it means
An intersection is ahead where you have right of way (you go first). The thicker leg of the cross shows which road has priority, and at this sign that is your road.
What you must do
Approach cautiously (slowly and carefully) and look carefully. Be able to stop if cross-traffic does not yield (give way).
