What it means

Heavy vehicles travel slowly down a descent (a downhill) ahead.

What you must do

Slow down. Particularly in mountainous areas with sharp curves, be able to stop within the distance you can see.

Especially in mountainous areas.

Remember

A slow truck may be just past the next curve. Be able to stop within the distance you can see.

Remember to allow for a longer stopping distance on a descent, especially when your vehicle is heavily laden (carrying a heavy load).
