STOP/RY-GO sign: what it means

What it means

It indicates whether you must stop or may proceed. It is two different signs mounted back to back, a STOP sign and a GO sign.

What you must do

Stop if the STOP sign is displayed. When the GO sign is displayed, move off or proceed with caution if it is safe.

Where you see it

Usually at road works, where it is used for temporary traffic control.

STOP displayed: stop. GO displayed: go with caution, if it is safe.
