Vehicles exceeding mass only: what it means

What it means

This sign compels (forces) drivers of certain heavy vehicles to use the road or part of the road it indicates. The sign shows a mass in tons.

What you must do

If your vehicle's GVM or GCM is more than the mass on the sign, use only the part of the road the sign indicates. If it is less, use a part of the road the sign does not indicate.

Where you see it

On any public road.

Remember

Heavier than the number: use the indicated part. Lighter: use another part.

GVM is Gross Vehicle Mass. GCM is Gross Combination Mass.
